Anti slavery policy

This statement is produced in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, relating to the financial year ending 31st December 2023. It outlines the steps Shabd Digital takes to prevent slavery, servitude, forced labor, and human trafficking (collectively referred to as Modern Slavery) within our business and supply chains. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to Modern Slavery, and all staff are encouraged to report concerns.

Our Business and Supply Chains
Shabd Digital is a leading provider of digital services with global reach. We work with highly specialized suppliers for digital products and services.

Our Policies and Controls
To combat Modern Slavery, we operate the following policies:

  • Recruitment policy: We work with reputable employment agencies and verify their practices before accepting workers.
  • Whistleblowing policy: Staff can report concerns without fear of retaliation, and all disclosures will be fully investigated.
  • Employee code of conduct: This outlines the standards of behavior expected from our employees.
  • Supplier/Procurement code of conduct: We vet suppliers to ensure they share our ethical values.
  • Staff training: Regular training ensures our staff understands and upholds our zero-tolerance approach.

Risk Assessment and Ongoing Initiatives
We assess our business and supply chains for risk of Modern Slavery, which is considered low due to the skilled nature of our work and the locations in which we operate. However, we remain vigilant and committed to:

  • Increasing awareness among staff.
  • Reviewing and updating training programs.
  • Enhancing supplier due diligence and audits.
  • Developing key performance indicators to monitor effectiveness.
